Our team manages every one of these locations, and we work together with our business units on all things property, from site acquisition through to asset management.
About the role
We're looking for a Capital Transactions Manager to play a key role in our growth strategy. You'll focus on acquiring development sites for new Coles supermarkets, across New South Wales to the NSW-Queensland border.

What you'll do:
Source & secure financially viable strategic retail sites at lowest cost & risk to the business.
Ensure the delivery of new or improved Coles stores.
Help maximise income and valuations and deliver annual business planning.
Develop and implement a long-term asset strategy for all balance sheet assets.
Manage Divestment processes to enable capital recycling.
Assess commercial risks, rewards, and development of clear delivery & exit strategies.
Work closely with the Property team to deliver new stores, store extensions, re-developments, and existing property assets.
About you and your skills
With a minimum of 5 years in capital transactions, property acquisitions, or similar, you'll bring a deep understanding of acquisition processes and excellent negotiation skills.
Ideally, you'll have a valuation background, with a demonstrated understanding of development processes and experience in retail, commercial, or industrial property.
You know how to build relationships and close deals that benefit all parties and are familiar with the ins and outs of town planning, development, and approval processes across jurisdictions.
You'll also have:
Accounting, Financial or Property tertiary qualifications
Architecture/building/project management experience
A passion for retail property & 'deals'
Excellent organisational skills
Strong financial knowledge to prepare and validate development feasibility models in Estate Master (or similar) computer packages.
