About the Role: Join us and lead our next major capital project at our Portland Smelter!
We have a new opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our major capital team on a contract basis. The position will lead a circa $100m project to rebuild our Carbon Bake Furnace at our Portland Smelter with an estimated project timeline of 2-3 years.
The project is moving into FEL 3 where you will start to build our owner team and draw on third party furnace and refractory specialists to deliver against the project scope.
Based at our Portland Smelter, you will lead a team to deliver to the scope of works ensuring excellent stakeholder engagement with site and the leadership team throughout.

Degree qualified in engineering.A background in brownfield project delivery within major fixed plant environments.Any previous furnace experience would be highly desirable.Strong stakeholder and contractor management skills.A collaborative and engaging leadership style that ensures you get the best out of your team and creates a high performance culture.Disclaimer: Please note that applications close midday Australian Western Standard Time of the posting end date.

Alcoa manages the day-to-day operations at the smelter and we produce approximately 19 per cent of Australia's total aluminium production in Portland.
