The RoleReporting to the Manager Capital Program, the purpose of this position is to partner with the business to develop, manage, and implement appropriate processes, controls, and systems to improve project interfaces and enable the delivery of the Council's Capital Program and Project Portfolio.
You will also be responsible for managing change initiatives, preparing reports for stakeholders, analyzing the capital portfolio, and ensuring alignment with budget forecasts.
Lead the design and embed the project management frameworks to enhance capital deliveryControl the project lifecycle management initiatives including software implementation and supporting documentationImplement change management strategies to improve capital processes and interfacesUndertake detailed analysis of the capital portfolio as well as prepare and present reports, briefs, and updates to Council and Executive Leadership teamProvide project controls leadership for all Capital projects, overseeing financial and performance trackingConduct analysis and status updates ensuring alignment with internal planning and financial goalsReview contractor documentation including schedules, cash flow, forecasts, and milestone payments to ensure alignment to Council frameworksWork closely with stakeholders to develop and ensure alignment to the yearly budget forecastDevelop strong relationships across the Council and promote a strong customer service cultureAbout You:Bachelor degree in Business, Construction Management (or related discipline) desirableDemonstrated experience in project controls, portfolio, or project management positionsProven experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining strategiesExperience successfully building relationships and engaging stakeholder groups at all levelsCompetent in developing and presenting reports and presentationsHigh level negotiation and communication skillsAdvanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Office suiteBenefits:Offering a range of employment benefits including health insurance discounts, fitness memberships9 day fortnight with flexible working arrangements (hybrid work, flexible start and finish times)Relocation assistanceOpportunities for career growthIf this sounds like you, please click apply or contact Lauren Kirk 0457 770 *** for a confidential discussion today!
