The Public Transport Authority is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team.
This position plays a key role in managing the financial aspects of the PTA's Asset Investment Program (AIP).
As part of the Capital Budgeting team, you will contribute to timely and accurate capital budget management, working closely with project cost controllers to develop Cost Breakdown Structures, investigate budget variances, and manage complex budget adjustments.
Your expertise will help ensure that projects are financially sound and in compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

About You To excel in this role, you should possess: Strong knowledge of, and experience in the interpretation and application of legislation, accounting policies and procedures, particularly in revenue and expenditure management.
Proven experience in accrual-based accounting procedures and proficiency in using spreadsheets and general ledger accounting software.
Possession of, or progression towards, relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively to meet deadlines.

This is a three (3) year fixed term contract with the possibility of extensions and /or permanency.
This role is available for an immediate start.
Initially this selection process will be used to fill the above vacancy, however it may also be used to appoint to similar positions that arise within the next 12 months.
