If you love it here as much as we do, and you want to shape our region for the future – you'll want to join our team!With the vision to be Australia's most sustainable region - Healthy, Smart, and Creative, Council is at the forefront of delivering a number of region-shaping projects that will see the region become a hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity, along with opportunities and a lifestyle for all to enjoy.About the RoleThe Environmental Operations Branch is responsible for the protection, enhancement, and management of Council's environmental assets across the landscape of the Sunshine Coast through the development and delivery of integrated programs.The Capital and Asset Management Officer will lead and support the development and coordination of Council's annual Capital Works Program for the Environmental Operations branch, focusing on coastal and environmental assets including the proactive auditing of Council assets and data capturing.On an average day you will:Guide and support the Environmental Operations Branch in the capturing of asset audit data and support the integration of this data with Council's asset management software.Work with the leadership team to coordinate the annual review of the 10-year capital works program.Work with asset managers to support the development of the coastal and environmental asset lifecycle principles including condition assessment frameworks.Act as a subject matter expert in Council's asset management software and programs.About youAs someone with experience in asset management, you will be proficient in preparing business correspondence, reports, and documents along with the ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.As a requirement of this role, you will hold tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Asset Management, Building and/or Construction Management, Engineering, Planning, or relevant experience.You will possess strong time management skills with a demonstrated ability to develop plans and programs, coordinate actions, and deliver outcomes.Pre-Employment Medical RequiredEssential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength, and dexterity.
