With close to 900 machines within our rental fleet, supported by a network of maintenance & component rebuild workshops and powered by our internal Asset Management team and fleet optimisation technology.Emeco are seeking an experienced Capital Accountant to provide asset accounting advice & information, including the coordination and delivery of capitalisation and asset accounting activities including work in progress, depreciation, impairment, retirement and valuation services.Why UsFull time Osborne Park based opportunityCompetitive remuneration package ($90 000 - $100 000 per year + super)Great teamwork environment with future development opportunities.About The RoleKey responsibilities of the role include:Providing a broad range of asset accounting and reporting services including asset capitalisation, depreciation, disposal, useful life assessments, write-offs and revaluation focused on providing support at Group, departmental and organisational levels.Delivery of asset accounting to support the production of departmental and organisational budgets & forecasts and reviews of actual against budget/ forecast on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.Maintaining the fixed asset register, profit and loss and balance sheet reconciliations, monthly, quarterly and annually.Weekly and Monthly capital finalisation and reporting, journal postings and capital reviews with management (ie. GM Assets, CFC, Finance Business Partners).Effectively communicate to key stakeholders of bi-weekly reviews of capital incurred, work in progress and components etc.Responsibility for asset accounting communication with relevant stakeholders including the General Manager Assets and assisting with Capital Budgeting and forecasting monthly quarterly and annually.Prepare half-yearly and annually the asset disclosure notes in the annual financial statements for approval by the required deadline.Actively engage in other special projects, including working with Systems & Data teams for Power BI reports and other system /process improvements.About YouThe successful applicant will have the following skills and knowledge:Previous experience in a capital accountant / fixed asset accountant role (2 -3 years preferred).Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the interpretation and application of Australian Accounting Standards, asset principles and asset recording systems to support the operations of a medium to large service organisation.Proven track record of achieving objectives with an ability to support management and provide continuous improvement of services.Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, including influencing skills and experience in cultivating and sustaining strong business relationships with key stakeholders.Demonstrated capability to manage multifaceted financial projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities and a track record in managing financial resources within budget parameters.Experience in financial management systems in a medium to large organization (preference Microsoft Great Plains)Advanced to intermediate excel skillsHow to ApplyTo apply for this role, click on the APPLY button, and submit a resume.
