Kempsey Adventist School is seeking a Canteen Manager, commencing January 2025, to oversee the day-to-day operations of our school canteen.
In this key role, you will be responsible for managing the canteen's food service, ensuring it provides healthy, nutritious and engaging meals for our students and staff.
What you'll be doing Preparing and serving a variety of healthy, fresh and appealing vegetarian meals and snacks.Developing nutritious menus that cater to the dietary needs of our diverse student community.Managing stock and ordering supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels.Maintaining and evidencing high standards of food safety and hygiene in the canteen, including developing and implementing the Food Safety Program.Recruitment and management of volunteers and coordinating their schedules.Ensuring the canteen operates within budgetary guidelines.Providing excellent customer service to students, staff and the school community.What we're looking for Relevant experience in a similar role, ideally in a school or educational setting.Strong organisational and time management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation, qualifications SITXSFA201/101 or Certificate III Hospitality.Demonstrated understanding, or willingness to learn and apply, the NSW healthy school canteen strategy: food and drink criteria and National Healthy Schools Canteen PolicyAbility to work independently and as part of a team.Passion for providing healthy, nutritious food options for students.What we offer
