Karrendi Primary School is nestled away in the suburb of Parafield Gardens. We cater for students R-6 and have a small enrolment of approximately 250 students. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, targeted learning that meets the needs of all students.
The Canteen Manager will manage all aspects of the school's canteen. The successful applicant will manage food ordering and preparation, set menus in-line with specific requirements including Right Bite Strategy and dietary requirements. They will ensure menus are set according to budgets and operate the business to ensure an economically viable food service for the school.
The role will oversee all areas of food service, including ensuring that the facility is operating in accordance with safety, sanitation, and quality nutrition standards, including responsibility for maintaining cleanliness in line with required food safety and infection control.
The Canteen Manager will work closely and in consultation with the Karrendi Primary School Principal and Governing Council Chairperson to establish the menu and products available for sale at the canteen. The Canteen Manager will collaborate with the school leadership to cater for special events such as Special Lunches, which occur twice per term, and Sports Day. The successful applicant will be supported by the Finance Officer, who will report and review canteen sales at the School Governing Council Meetings twice per term.
