About the Role We are seeking a Canteen Assistant to join our dedicated Canteen Team. The hours required for this position are Thursdays (8.30am-2.30pm) and Fridays (8.15am-1.30pm) during term time.
Key Responsibilities Assist the Canteen Manager in the preparation of food in a Canteen environment that conforms with government and school regulations.Assist in planning and implementing the Canteen menu in accordance with the NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy.Comply with current food safety, hygiene and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations.Assist with processing food orders via the online food ordering portal, Munch Monitor.Serve students and staff at recess and lunch breaks.Responsible cash handling in conjunction with the school's Finance Team.Adhere to the school's Canteen Policy.Selection Criteria The ideal candidate will:
Have an active Christian faith with regular involvement in a local church, and a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of WCCS, including the Statement of Faith.Demonstrate an understanding of food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements and a willingness to follow safety procedures.Hold, or be willing to obtain, a Working With Children Check.Have experience in food preparation and cash handling.Demonstrate ability in:Working with People: Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students.Following Instructions & Procedures: Adherence to safety procedures, instructions, and school policies.Planning & Organising: Good time management and organisational skills to ensure timelines are adhered to.How to Apply Please submit the following documents:
