Avondale School is a K-12 independent School owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, located in Cooranbong. The School's mission is to provide opportunities to know Christ, develop full potential and cultivate a love of learning.
We are seeking a suitably experienced and enthusiastic individual to work in the school canteen.
Essential CriteriaModel and nurture an active relationship with Jesus and have a knowledge of and commitment to supporting the ethos and mission of Avondale School.Provide quality canteen and catering customer service including food production and food preparation duties, counter service and cleaning duties.Provide a clean, hygienic environment for the preparation, storage and safe handling of food.Possess excellent people skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with all school stakeholders, and work as part of a cohesive team.Have experience in food-related roles and a high level of hygiene and food safety knowledge.Demonstrate an understanding of WHS requirements and be aware of risks and hazards in food-related activities.Promote a safe, secure environment for staff, students and visitors.Committed to child safety by providing a safe culture, safe operations and a safe environment. Only applicants with a Working With Children Check (WWCC) will be considered for this role.The successful applicant will be provided with access to the Staff Handbook that sets out the expectations and requirements of employment at the school. The position is subject to stand down periods during non-school terms. Child protection legislation requires preferred applicants to be subject to employment screening.
