Cane Farm Manager

We are a family-owned and operated business that has recently expanded into the sugarcane and avocado industries, and we are now seeking to hire a Cane Farm Manager.
Job Overview: Ruby Farms is looking for a Cane Farm Manager to oversee all aspects of sugarcane farming and harvesting operations on a 200-hectare farm located at Gin Gin QLD (2km out of Gin Gin). The manager will be responsible for carrying out day to day operations including but not limited to the following:
Managing irrigation systems (6 x center pivots & 1 lateral)Weed managementBaling mulch for our neighbouring avocado farmPreparing rotational crops (soy beans & cotton)Maintenance of machinery and equipmentPlantingQualifications: Experience in cane farmingMechanical knowledgeKnowledge of farm irrigation, fertilization, weed management and safe chemical handling.Ability to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.Great work ethic and able to work autonomouslyInclusions: Work vehicle providedOption of a house and power for the successful applicant #J-18808-Ljbffr
