Campbell Transport has secured an exciting new contract on a mine site in the Goldfields Region of WA. Partnering with Aurizon, we will be delivering bulk haulage and logistics solutions in one of WA's largest nickel mines.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Haulage Supervisor to join our new team for this contract. In this diverse leadership role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the daily operations of the mine-based fleet of trucks to achieve maximum performance and meet all performance targets. This position is available to local residents and applicants residing in Perth on a 2:1 roster.
Main responsibilities include:
Manage the fleet to achieve maximum efficiency Optimise business efficiency by reducing costs and time lost Deliver exceptional service to our clients Achieve our company's production through organised fleet co-ordination Champion our safety culture - "Don't get hurt when moving dirt" - a focus on individual ownership and practical solutions to managing risk. Conduct regular safety and compliance checks and implement changes as required Responsible for managing drivers on a day-to-day basis to ensure they are aware of their requirements Performance Management of drivers and recruiting of new staff in conjunction with the Operations Manager and HR Manager Work with the Workshop leadership team to ensure maximum haulage capacity occurs without compromising service equipment requirements To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience as a leader within the transport and mining industry as well as a solid background in truck driving. You will be a safety-minded team player with good organization and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet performance targets. You will have the ability to work with different personality types and motivate team members by promoting a positive work environment.
