Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Campaign Organiser to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a passion for driving successful campaigns.
You will be responsible for managing various aspects of our campaigns, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across teams.
This role requires excellent time management skills, as well as proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
An understanding of the political landscape and familiarity with the local area within the Didcot and Wantage Constituency would be an advantage.

JOB PURPOSE
To support the delivery of the Constituency Strategy To work closely with the MP and General Election Agent to support the MP, his office and staff in his campaigning activities.
To work closely with County Councillors to support their re-election campaign in May 2025.
To help District Councillors, local Campaign Teams and local party executive communicate effectively with members and constituents.
To co-ordinate and oversee the development, implementation and day to day running of campaigning activity across the Didcot & Wantage Constituency.
To increase the volunteer base.
To produce a variety of literature and expand the delivery network for their distribution, organise regular door knocking activity and develop online campaigning.
To liaise and co-ordinate with other Lib Dem organisations outside of the Constituency to achieve shared objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Organise a range of fundraising events across the constituency Oversee, create and support the production of campaign literature, ensuring this conveys the agreed political messages Support local councillors to ensure their regular 'Focus' newsletters are compiled and distributed efficiently as advised by the Council Groups.
Develop the online presence for the local party, our MP, councillors and candidates, including targeted emails and Facebook advertising as advised Work with local party activists to ensure literature is distributed efficiently and delivered within agreed deadlines Work with colleagues and local party activists to maintain and update photo library to maximise effective use of visual imagery in our campaigning activities Identify, engage, support and lead volunteers to enable them to participate in voter identification, literature distribution, clerical work and other relevant activities Plan, co-ordinate and run campaign events (e.g.
action weekends) for volunteers from the local area and beyond as appropriate, with support from the local party Identify training requirements for members Ensure mailing lists and member databases are updated, including ensuring key activists are notified of new members Engage in continuous personal development to maintain and improve knowledge and skills as required within a challenging and ever-changing environment, including accessing appropriate training provided by the state and federal parties in consultation with the local party stakeholders.
Undertake other duties appropriate to the post, as directed PERSON SPECIFICATION
The following criteria are considered essential:
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, members, volunteers, external organisations Proven ability to proactively engage with volunteers in a confident manner, to persuade them to participate in campaigning activities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Relevant work experience in either campaigning / marketing / volunteer management or politics High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to manage competing work priorities and remain cool under pressure Ability to work independently as required, with minimal supervision, and work effectively within a small team Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals Good planning and organisational skills, along with the ability to solve problems creatively Strong ICT skills, including familiarity with resources such as Microsoft Office packages, web design, databases and data collection systems, DTP and social media Familiarity with current issues within UK politics and sympathetic to the values and principles of the Liberal Democrats Ability to attend some meetings or events in the evenings or weekends Clean driving licence and access to use of a car The following criteria are considered desirable:
Work experience within a political or campaigning environment Experience recruiting and managing volunteers Experience of software packages Affinity Publisher, Connect, NationBuilder and Facebook advertising.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £23,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 35 per week
