The Campaign Manager plays a key role in leading, planning and implementing the paid media components of brand marketing communications, differentiating our brand and creating desire for visitation to Tasmania.
We are looking for a paid media specialist with experience in campaign implementation to join our creatively driven Brand Marketing team. You will plan and deliver the paid media components of integrated marketing communications that challenge the status quo and differentiate our brand.
Collaborating with our media agency, you will be Tourism Tasmania's primary source of expert knowledge in paid media and campaign implementation, guiding the team in best practice and being the champion of effectiveness.
You will make things happen on time and on budget, while delivering beautifully integrated work that ultimately supports the brand and the tourism industry in Tasmania.

What you'll be responsible for: Managing the planning and execution of the paid media components of integrated brand marketing communications that builds our brand meaning and continues to differentiate Tasmania, making a significant contribution to the achievement of our brand strategy and objectives.Collaborating with Brand Managers and other cross-functional team members to translate our brand strategy into effective in-market activity, striving to challenge conventional destination marketing norms for our our international, , interstate and intrastate markets.Supporting the management and fostering of the relationships, processes, and contractual requirements of Tourism Tasmania's partnership with its media agency.Managing the Paid Media function and team to ensure resourcing is planned to meet objectives and program performance.Ensuring paid media activity is effective and efficient with activity delivered on time and on budget with strong return on investment (ROI).Provide support and education for teams to ensure media and creative best practices are applied across all paid marketing activity.What you'll work on: Project management of paid media plans and implementation, including briefing timelines, budget, stakeholder communication, and measurement.Foster collaborative working relationships with our agencies and manage the day-to-day requirements of the media agency contract to ensure compliance and value.Collaborate with Digital Experience and the Content Studio to ensure all activity in digital channels is optimised based on the consumer journey and campaign measures of success.Understand and coordinate the platform and channel set-up required to deliver paid media activity, including data measurement tags, owned channel requirements, and buying tools.Manage direct reports' performance planning and provide ongoing coaching and support to the team for their learning, development, and personal growth.Monitor media performance and investment to optimise paid media plans and marketing search strategy for high performance across the consumer journey, driving action amongst the intended audiences.Work alongside the Chief Data Office and Research Teams on projects supporting data visualisation, audience segmentation, and data access.Stay abreast of trends and insights in paid media and identify new opportunities relevant to the brand and our marketing objectives, including the identification of brand aligned bespoke or niche channels – including specific to the Tasmanian market.Lead by example as a role model through values and professional standards and drive continuous improvement.Coach and support the wider Brand team to build understanding of paid media channels, processes, data and insights.Who you are: You are an experienced paid media professional who is equally driven by media effectiveness and brand alignment. You look for opportunities to strategically create value while telling the brand story, and you make things happen collaboratively and efficiently.
You have a passion for and understanding of the Tourism Tasmania brand and destination, and you're keen to make a difference to the brand, the team, and the tourism industry.
Preference is for you to be located in Hobart, however working remotely within Australia may be considered for the right person.
