Mungalalu North Kimberley Airport is the leading remote, all-weather airport in Australia.
Based on the Anjo Peninsular in the far north Kimberley of Western Australia, MNKA provides airfield services to the oil and gas industry, local industry, Defence and other Government agencies.
To support operations, MNKA has a fully equipped, 120 room camp complete with kitchen and dining facilities, gym, pool and recreational facilities.
MNKA staff are typically based in either Perth or Darwin, where regular weekly flights fly direct to the airport.
Staff are housed in permanent ensuited rooms, with all meals supplied and wifi available throughout the camp.This is a unique opportunity to support the overall function of the camp and its supporting services.
Ensuring that all tasks of managing and running the camp are achieved, which includes Housekeeping, Cooking, General Utilities & administrative function of camp management.
In this leadership position you will report to the Airport Manager, you will lead the Housekeeping and Kitchen staff to ensure optimal quality and service to all camp guests.The RoleManagement of Camp Operations, including catering, cleaning and facilities management services.Maintaining consistent operational performance and standards across the kitchen, ensuring food is delivered to an exceptionally high standard, whilst maintaining cost effectiveness.Ensuring that camp cleanliness and hygiene is maintained to a high standard through the proactive and effective management of the cleaning schedule.Ensuring rooms and facilities are well maintained, functional and to the desired standard.Ensuring that rooms and facilities are appropriately allocated to meet customer needs.Fostering a high-performance culture through continuous improvement and innovation.The CandidateStrong and decisive leadership skills with ability to build an effective and engaged team.Experience in Staff recruitment, retention, rostering, and subsequent management of the workforces.Food Safety Supervisor (desirable) must be willing to undertake if you do not already have the qualification.Chef qualifications are also desirable, as is proven management experience in the hospitality field, ideally within a Catering and or Accommodation services environment.The RewardsSite and travel allowances.3/3 roster.
