Role Description:
The successful candidate will travel with our team to different locations across South Australia, Victoria and in some cases Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Syndey to assist with catering school camps and study tour programs. You will work within a team to deliver a high quality of food service to our campers, including food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and adhering to food hygiene and safety standards. You must be willing to adapt to different kitchens and facilities in each location. For the duration of the programs you will stay on-site, with accommodation and meals included in addition to your daily rate.
Your main Duties will Include: Engaging with our students at meal time, and brightening their day with simple, fun, mealsPreparing meals and cooking as outlined in the food planAdhering to food hygiene and safety standardsServing meals to campersSetting up and cleaning up your workstationHelping to clean dishesdrive the company van and catering trailerRole Requirements Must hold a current drivers license Must hold a current working with children's check (WWC) or be willing to obtain oneMust be willing to travel and be away from home for 3-5 days at a timeIdeally have experience in similar roles or hold current qualifications in cookery/kitchen operationsYou will hold a big advantage if you have an Light Rigid license (purely as part of our on-tour contingency plans – having a spare minibus driver) Our Ideal Candidate Will be: A team-focused player with an optimistic, can-do attitude for life and for workPassionate about helping people, and the service of othershighly organised and time-awareAble to follow instructions and documented food plansA person with a love for nature and an eagerness for exploringRenumeration: $300 per day (including super) + chef-made meals and accommodation
