Casual positions are also available – suitable for 1st or 2nd year students studying an Allied Health degree. About the role We are seeking multiple Allied Health Assistants to join our multidisciplinary allied health team. The Calvary Adelaide allied health team provides services across a range of specialties including orthopaedic, cardiorespiratory, general medicine, general surgery, neurosurgery, and neurology. The role will encompass providing services within our onsite short-stream inpatient rehabilitation service.
As a successful candidate in the permanent full time role, you will provide allied health services within the rehab ward across Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy disciplines.
As a successful candidate in the casual role, you will provide allied health services within both the acute and rehab ward across Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics and other allied health disciplines as appropriate.
Your main duties will include:
Provide high quality evidence-based care to clients with a wide variety of conditions under the direction of allied health professionals Manage a diverse caseload of patients Support therapy programmes such as hydrotherapy, group exercise and functional retraining sessions. About you: Ability to work under supervision and direction Ability to work flexibly and perform a range of diverse tasks Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance / comparable qualification (preferred) Experience working within a healthcare setting (preferred) Experience working as an Allied Health Assistant (preferred) Dynamic, adaptable, and innovative approach to providing safe and high quality care A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation For further information please contact Robert Low, Allied Health Manager on 0407 503 691 or .
