WHS & ER Case Management – EL 1
Our Federal Government client is seeking a Case Manager at the EL 1 level to support Work Health and Safety and Employee Relations cases which involves strategic oversight and hands-on management.
Contract Details:
3 month labour hire contract No security clearance required Canberra based or remote working options Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure all activities comply with WHS laws and policies including understanding and implementing safety standards and procedures. Identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses. Organize and lead training sessions to ensure team members are aware of WHS responsibilities and best practices. Manage responses to workplace incidents, including reporting, investigation, and corrective actions. Encourage open communication about safety concerns and promote continuous improvement in WHS practices. Handle conflicts and disputes between employees and management, ensuring fair and effective resolution. Develop and implement policies related to employee conduct, performance, and workplace behaviour. Manage complex cases involving disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance issues from start to finish. Work with various stakeholders, including unions, to address employee concerns and negotiate agreements. Provide guidance and training to managers on handling ER issues and fostering a positive workplace environment. This opportunity is within the Australian Public Service.
