Calidus Resources Limited are a gold exploration and development company who operates the Warrawoona Gold Project located near Marble Bar in the East Pilbara district of Western Australia.

After a short operational pause, exciting changes are underway as we embrace new management and look to ramp our Warrawoona project back up to full production by February 2025.

With a bright future ahead, the Warrawoona Gold Project is expected to have a mine life of initially 5 – 7 years with significant potential to further resources within the region.

About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to work with a small team and be involved in an exciting green field gold project with a wide degree of responsibilities.

Based on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster and reporting to the General Manager, the Mining Manager will be responsible for the effective management of the Mining function of our Warrawoona Gold Project.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
As Mining Manager, your duties will include:
Providing Leadership, Structure and Guidance to the Mining Department Establishment of Technical Procedures (Engineering and Survey Functions) Oversight and Management of the mining contractor to ensure production targets are achieved in a safe and efficient manner.
LOM Budgeting, Preparation of Annual Reserves Reporting on mining performance with overall accountability for the Mining Department Promotion of constructive employee and contractor relations.
Effectively manages, develops and mentor staff ensuring alignment with company values.
Demonstrates and encourages visual and effective leadership across the site and within the community.
About the Person
To be considered for this role, you will require:
10+ years operational experience – Open Pit gold mining is preferred.
First Class Mine Manager or Quarry Manager Certificate Extensive practical experience working with mining contractors.
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant law and regulations specific to mine sites Shortlisting for this role will commence immediately.
