Description KNOWLEDGE thrives here ABOUT THE ROLE The Calibration Technician is responsible for BAI Communications' test and measurement equipment allocation and calibration requirements. With the use of reference standard equipment calibrated at NATA ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratories, the Calibration Technician will undertake performance verification for all relevant test equipment.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the Test Equipment Resource Plan, including all allocation and calibration details Conduct test and measurement equipment calibration using manual and automated procedures, including, but not limited to, spectrum analysers, network analysers, test receivers, oscilloscopes, power meters, FM/AM monitors and audio analysers Drive the development of automating the manual calibration procedures for all relevant test equipment using Python, C# and SCPI programming Migrate existing automation sequences from PyCharm into FLUKE MET/CAL Maintain and update calibration certification records for lab and field equipment Create and maintain calibration procedures and documentation Keep the calibration lab and storage areas neat, ordered, presentable and operating in a safe manner in accordance with WHS requirements Assist other teams with calibration queries, coordinate arrival and dispatch dates of scheduled calibration Ensure that all logistics, freight tracking and asset management systems are kept up to date with test equipment location Participate in the on-call process as required ABOUT YOU You will be very familiar with calibration theory and processes Be comfortable managing calibration schedules Have knowledge of test equipment to facilitate the testing and repair of modern broadcast equipment Computer literate with knowledge of electronic repair tickets and asset management systems Basic awareness of Equipment repairs Be familiar with managing calibration records and traceability Experience within the RF broadcast industry and/or RF test equipment calibration well regarded Python or C# programming experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
