What you'll do: Support data-driven decision making – Help gather insights from structured and unstructured data to inform product, strategy, and user experience. Work with SQL, BigQuery, high volume event data and data pipelines – Use your SQL skills and GCP expertise to build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines that power insights across the organization. Explore and apply machine learning techniques – Experiment with ML and large language models (LLMs) to unlock new potential in our products. Analyze and integrate unstructured data – Work with unstructured data sources, enabling our team to leverage diverse data types for a more holistic view. Collaborate with product and engineering teams – Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and develop innovative solutions. Contribute to data architecture – Play a key role in shaping our data ecosystem, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and robust analytics. Must haves: Foundational data skills – Strong proficiency in SQL, with an understanding of BigQuery, GCP, and data wrangling. Strong interest in unstructured data and LLMs – You're curious about working with unstructured data and exploring large language models at scale. Problem-solving mindset – You approach challenges creatively, ready to think through complex data problems with a results-oriented approach. Adaptability and drive – You're eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Collaboration skills – Excellent communication and a team-first attitude, especially important in our distributed, remote setup. Why Cake?
