In this role, you'll be essential in delivering safe, efficient, and effective preventative maintenance and repairs for our Travel and Tourism Rollingstock fleet, inclusive of the heritage-listed Kuranda Scenic Railway.
Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to; Contribute to reliability and availability through performance of preventative maintenance and repairs to Traveltrain rollingstock – predominantly Kuranda Scenic Railway trains Assist in derailment and accident situations to minimize customer impact, addressing rollingstock defects promptly in the field.
Maintain accurate data input in the Information and Maintenance Management Systems.
Conduct reliability examinations of trains as needed.
Prioritize work safety by adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly and safety standards are upheld.

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have the following: Hold a current manual 'C' class driver' licence Hold a Mechanical Fitter qualification or equivalent A strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently as part of team A strong commitment to safe working practices and zero harm Hours and Salary: This position offers a 8-day fortnight roster with a starting base salary of $82,509 plus 12.75% superannuation.
With the current roster,and allowances you have the potential to earn over $100,000 annually.
