Pony and Cole is a dynamic and award-winning cafe in Hindmarsh, with a strong focus on high quality, in-house produced food and locally roasted coffee.We take a wholesome approach to food, producing nourishing and contemporary all-day breakfast and lunches with a twist.We value sustainability, limited wastage, and sourcing from local and small-scale producers.We prepare as much as possible from scratch including breads, pickles, sauces and condiments, baked goods, cocktails, and smoothies.Our food is matched by our high-quality service and an extensive drink range to offer a fresh, warm, and thoughtful dining experience.We love what we do and enjoy working with like-minded people.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operations of the business, ensuring high-quality service in line with the Pony and Cole culture and philosophy.Manage both front and back of house operations to ensure service quality.Lead, train, and motivate staff in providing an exceptional customer service experience.Manage inventory, including ordering stock and developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships.Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene standards.Monitor financial performance and identify areas to increase profitability.Identify, develop, and implement efficient operational processes for continual improvement.Manage customer satisfaction, dealing with feedback professionally.Staff management including onboarding, rostering, performance, and conflict resolution.RequirementsMinimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.Formal qualifications in Hospitality, related field OR relevant experience.A positive attitude with strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team.Excellent communication and organisational skills with strong attention to detail, whilst maintaining a practical and efficient approach to tasks.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.A sound knowledge of all things coffee and barista skills are an advantage.A strong focus on service standards, food and beverage, and implementing policies and procedures.Who you are working forMy name is Nicolle, I own Pony and Cole and love it.
