The role This is an exciting newly created position. The successful candidate will work closely alongside the Operations Manager and the Group Food and Beverage Manager to represent the core values of the NRMA in terms of professionalism, cleanliness, and guest experience. The Cafe Manager will also work closely with the department heads and the Events and Groups Team to create industry-leading outlets and functions while working within monthly financial budgets. Key responsibilities: Recruit, train, develop, and mentor F&B Team Members Control and positively influence 'Cost of Sales' Operate within the department budget Collaborate with Resort Manager & Group Food & Beverage Manager to create strategic plans to develop the department Design food and beverage menus in collaboration with Group Food & Beverage Manager, Chef/Lead Short Order Cook, and Operations Manager. Maintain and develop positive relationships with suppliers Comply with Liquor Licensing, Food Safety Plan, and OHS requirements Ultimately, and above all, create and maintain a positive, dynamic working culture that creates moments of unforgettable quality. About you Experience in a Cafe and/or previous customer service experience Outstanding guest relations and communications skills and the ability to relate to and host resort guests from a wide range of nationalities and backgrounds Experience in a management/leadership role Relevant tertiary qualifications in Tourism/Hospitality Management or equivalent are an advantage (desirable) Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (desirable) The Perks!
