Employment Criteria                     The Ideal Candidate Must Have: Skills and experience in working with people living with a disabilityPrevious relevant experience in a similar role and within a fast-paced environmentExceptional service standards with attention to detailPassion for hospitality with a friendly attitudeA strong work ethicA passion for specialty coffee, innovative food & hospitalityImmaculate presentation and exceptional communicationAbility to use and teach the use of PoS Machine and cash salesAvailability to work a flexible schedule including, opening and closing shiftsKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  Comply with the Café Hopper Bility policy and proceduresAbility to work within the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Principles including safe manual handling procedures.Ability to support and train others in exceptional customer service. Follow and comply with food and health standardsComply with appropriate ordering of stock Understand the food that is being served in particular the ingredients Comply with satisfactory customer service requirementsAbility to work independently and/or within a team environment.To participate in training programs as requiredESSENTIAL MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Certificate in Barista WorkExperience in managing teamsExperience in working in disabilityCurrent Food Handling CourseExperience with PoS system and Cash SalesBasic math skillsExcellent listening and communication skillsCommitment to customer satisfaction and service excellenceSTATEMENT OF KEY OUTCOMES AND ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES The performance of the café barista employee will be appraised by the Café Manager.  The key areas of evaluation will be:
Customer focus:  Ensure quality coffee and service is maintainedReport any complaints or feedback to the manager as required.Effective listening and communication skills to their customersCommunication and teamwork Ability to communicate effectively in training and support to a diverse range of people.Ability to be adaptable to the environment and the learning environment for the teamListens effectively, conveys and receives information and direction.Good verbal communication amongst colleaguesWork harmoniously with all colleagues that demonstrates support to its team members, assisting them to achieve excellent customer service.Develop a good understanding of the purpose of the Café functions and vision.Professionalism  Represents Café Hopper Bility in a professional manner and promotes a positive image of Café Hopper Bility to customers, colleagues and Holistic Care SA office space and staff.Time management Arrives to work on time in clean and neat attireAttend to customer orders effectively to promote customer satisfactionEnsure café setup and pack down is attended to that maintains health standards. KEEP SAFE WORKING PRACTICE BY: Comply with any plans, directions or instructions aimed at WHS matters including the utilisation of personal protective and other safety equipment, including personal protection to ensure own action or lack of action does not place at risk own health and safety or that of others at the workplace.Participate in WHS training and development programs and consultative processes, following any incident occurring.Report immediately all accidents, hazards and near missesParticipate in WHS training and development programs and consultative processes, following any incident occurring.Identifying any potential hazards and reporting them to Holistic Care SA, in line with incident reporting and WHS training guidelines and policy and procedures.Café Barista Manager Duties The role of the Café Barista Manager is to ensure the Café is functioning in the service delivery that meets customer satisfaction by:
Ensuring the café is kept neat and tidyEnsure coffee machine and equipment is cleaned and prepared in preparation for the start of the day.Clean down, put away and ensure all café and kitchen areas are left clean as per health standard requirements.Ensure the team is managing their roles effectively with positive mentoring and supportEnsure all stock is in date in preparation for serviceProvide exceptional customer service to promote positive experience for customersMaintain a positive work environment with all employees and managersRespect the space of Holistic Care SA Office staffPERSONAL ABILITIES/APTITUDES/SKILLS A passion in providing excellent customer service in providing quality coffee and food. A passion in empowering people living with a disability to increase their capacity in the work environmentDemonstrated capacity to work with honesty and integrity.Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with people with disabilities and their families and considering age and cultureAbility to respond appropriately to individual colleague needs and prioritiesWork with limited supervision as well as working as part of a teamDemonstrate good organisational skillsPractical verbal communication skills.A reasonable knowledge and understanding of the NDIS Code of Conduct, National Disability standard, WHS, Equal Opportunity Principles and Practices and knowledge of standard safe food handling procedures.
