Cafe Manager - Byron Bay

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Café Manager to lead our team and oversee the daily operations of our vibrant café in Byron Bay. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving efficiency, maintaining high standards of service, and fostering a welcoming environment for both customers and staff.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.Recruit, train, and manage a dynamic team of staff, including wait staff and kitchen personnel.Manage stock levels, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure purchasing aligns with set budgets.Maintain accurate records of café finances, including daily, weekly, and monthly revenue and expenses.Ensure compliance with local council regulations, food safety standards, and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements.Collaborate with the team to develop seasonal menu offerings based on customer preferences and trends.Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly to maintain excellent customer service standards.Monitor café cleanliness and presentation to meet high standards of hygiene and ambiance.Build and nurture strong relationships with regular customers to foster loyalty and enhance the café's reputation.RequirementsProven experience as a Café Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.Exceptional communication and team management skills to motivate and guide a diverse team.A proactive and customer-focused attitude, with a commitment to delivering outstanding service.Knowledge of budgeting, stock control, and financial reporting in a café or similar environment.Familiarity with local food regulations and safety standards, including RSA compliance.Additional qualifications in Business Administration, Management, or Hospitality are advantageous.What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experience.A supportive and collaborative work environment in the heart of Byron Bay.Opportunities to innovate and contribute to the growth of a beloved local café.Summary of role requirements:Looking for candidates available to work:Monday: Morning, AfternoonTuesday: Morning, AfternoonWednesday: Morning, AfternoonThursday: Morning, AfternoonFriday: Morning, AfternoonSaturday: Morning, AfternoonSunday: Morning, Afternoon2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this roleWork visa can be provided for this roleExpected start date for role: 01 January 2025Expected salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year#J-18808-Ljbffr
