The Cadet – Environmental Health will support Council to effectively manage environmental health matters regarding pollution control and public health, with the objective to improve the quality of lifestyle and environment within our region.About YouYou will currently be studying a Bachelor of Applied Science and will demonstrate enthusiasm and willingness to gain hands on experience in Environmental Health. You will be proactive in your approach to learning and be willing to commit to a 12-month training plan with regular milestones needing to be achieved. You will be open and responsive to feedback and be able to demonstrate your interest in supporting Hawkesbury Council's purpose 'To build a Hawkesbury that is loved by its people'.Essential CriteriaMust be currently undertaking Bachelor of Applied Science, year 2 already completedAvailable to start February 17, 2025Available to commit to 3-4 days per weekAbility to apply technical knowledge to support the branch with solving complex problemsBasic knowledge of relevant Environmental Health Acts / LegislationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsIntermediate computer skills and experienceTime management and professionalismWorking with Children Check (WWCC)Current Class C Drivers LicenceAbout UsAt Hawkesbury Council, we know that our team are at the heart of everything we do, and we are proud of our team and the culture that we continue to build.
