ADD VALUE - THE ROLE The Cadet Engineer – Infrastructure is primarily responsible for assisting the day-to-day Development Engineering, Traffic Engineering and general Civil Engineering tasks within the Infrastructure Services Engineering team.
Key responsibilities include: Assist with assessments for new developmentsAssist with the provision of technical input and engineering decisionsMonitor the implementation of the Development Engineering Specifications for Infrastructure AssetsAssess and inspect applications which relate to development engineering issuesProject management (planning, design and consultation) of traffic and transportation projectsPreparation and submission of funding applications for traffic and transportation projects and the identification of any new opportunities for fundingReview and provide comment on Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Control Plans submitted to Council by external partiesThis position is offered on a temporary basis (up to 2-year cadetship) working 35 hours per week.
To be considered for this role you will need to be currently enrolled in a Degree in Civil Engineering, in your penultimate or final year.
Remuneration package for this position is based in accordance with the Local Government (state) Award in the range of $1142.50 - $1194.60 per week plus superannuation.
