This role certainly offers variety for a proficient CAD technician with engineering design experience who loves thinking outside the box. With international clients and working with Tier 1 construction here in Victoria, our client designs and manufactures of audio metric test rooms and booths, sound studios, industrial acoustic enclosures, industrial gas racking and high-pressure manifolds, turn key conveyor systems and general sheet-metal, trailers, CNC folding and other fabrication.

About the Role As the CAD Technician/Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Conceptual Design – using AutoCAD Inventor 3D Modelling develop technical solutions and develop concept designs and visual concepts for a range of solutions to be taken from prototype to full production. Maintain drawings and manage the design functionality of the business.Operation Support – provide technical support to the workshop and support the Operations Manager with relevant documentation, specification and practical solutions.Project Management – Manage minor projects through the company to aid the operations team.Requirements 10 years+ relevant engineering experience - Mechanical Engineering degree would be advantageous but not mandatoryProficient in the use of AutoCAD and Inventor, able to produce full component and concept drawingsDrafting experience within the pneumatic and hydraulic sectors would be an advantageDrafting experience with knowledge of acoustics would be an advantageComputer literateKnowledge of WHS lawsForklift licence or willingness to attain oneTo bring your skills to this exciting role, click 'APPLY NOW' to forward a current copy of your CV and covering letter.
