This position is based at Maryborough Depot and covers the Region from Gympie to Gladstone and from Emerald to Winton, therefore some travel and weekend work will be required at times to meet the business needs. The roster will encompass a 9 day fortnight and on-call, mainly in a 1 in 3 week roster. About this role:Reporting into the Co-ordinator Network Services you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications cables and cabling equipment and report on the performance and condition of the network asset to ensure its safe and effective operation. About you: Perform jointing and termination activities for low voltage cables used in railway Signalling and Telecommunications systems. Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and safety of underground cable routes. Maintain telecommunications towers, antenna and feeders. Collaborate with a team of railway professionals to carry out projects efficiently and effectively. Strictly adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. To be considered for this role you must have: Previous experience in cable jointing Cert III in Telecomms National Australian Drivers Licence ACMA Open Cabler Registration Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
