We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cabinet Maker to join our team at Sparkman's Cabinets & Joinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting high-quality custom cabinetry and joinery solutions for residential and commercial clients. This role requires a strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities: Cabinet Construction: Fabricate and assemble custom cabinets, furniture, and joinery items according to project specifications, drawings, and measurements.Material Handling: Select and cut timber, laminate, and other materials using appropriate tools and machinery.Quality Control: Ensure all finished products meet Sparkman's quality standards, with attention to precision and detail.Installation: Assist with the installation of cabinets and joinery on-site when required.Maintenance: Maintain and service tools, machinery, and workshop equipment to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.Collaboration: Work closely with the design team, clients, and other tradespeople to ensure project requirements are met.Health & Safety: Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.Qualifications and Experience: Certificate III in Cabinet Making or equivalent qualification.Proven experience in cabinet making or joinery, preferably within a custom cabinetry or shopfitting environment.Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans.Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.Strong understanding of various materials, including timber, laminates, and veneers.Current driver's license and reliable transportation.Key Skills and Attributes: Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail.Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work under minimal supervision.Good communication and teamwork skills.Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.Commitment to workplace health and safety practices.What We Offer: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Opportunities for professional development and career progression.A supportive and friendly work environment.Modern workshop facilities and tools. #J-18808-Ljbffr
