Located on Victoria's Great Ocean Road, RACV Torquay Resort is set on an expansive golf course with spectacular ocean views and direct beach access. We're looking for an enthusiastic and energetic F&B Attendant to join our team.
The role… Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for ensuring exceptional event experiences? We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Conference & Events Operations Manager to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the seamless execution of events on the day, ensuring guest satisfaction and exceeding client expectations. Some key duties include:
Oversee all aspects of event set-up, ensuring adherence to floor plans and AV specifications. Manage a team of staff, delegating tasks and providing clear instructions. Maintain clear communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams throughout the event. Anticipate and proactively resolve any issues that may arise during the event. Ensure the smooth running of all conference & event logistics. Conduct post-event walkthroughs, identifying areas for improvement. Maintain a high level of professionalism and provide exceptional customer service to all guests. We're offering… Competitive salary package with benefits. A flair for creating and identifying business opportunities. A solid understanding of sales principles and techniques. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with others. Substantial knowledge of the service procedures relative to C&E Operations including but not limited to banquet, buffet, cocktail, conference and special event service within 5-star venues. Depth of wine knowledge and general bar beverages. Proven understanding of budget and accounting procedures including planning, forecasting and controlling. Great time management skills. Flexibility to work with the business requirements. Knowledge of OPERA PMS and Catering Sales (desirable). Additional Requirements: Previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced F&B environment. Bar experience preferable. Someone who can work evenings and weekends. A genuine love of hospitality and providing great service. A valid Victorian RSA. Exceptional communication skills and a bright & friendly personality. The ability to quickly build rapport with guests and your team. Full working rights in Australia. A little about us...
