Grange Resources Tasmania is on the lookout for a C2P Mechanical Fitter and Machinist to join our operation in Savage River.
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Mechanical Fitter and Machinist to perform mechanical maintenance duties on the equipment at the Concentrator.
In this role, you will work 7 days on 7 days off day shift roster.
Day to day In this role you will be responsible for: Carrying out and assisting in all mechanical maintenance and repairs to fixed plant and equipment Working safely and undertaking all duties required for the position in a diligent and competent manner Assisting in continuous improvement and process development projects within the Maintenance team Who you are To be successful in this role you have: A relevant mechanical trade qualification The ability and commitment to work safely in an isolated environment with minimal supervision Basic computer skills A current full manual driver licence Previous experience with Gyratory crushers, Autogenous Mill, Ball Mill, Warman Pumps and Conveyor circuits Sound verbal and written communication skills Who we are We're Grange Resources , Australia's oldest and most experienced magnetite producer - combining both mining and pellet production expertise.
Based in northwest Tasmania, we own and operate Australia's largest integrated iron ore mining and pellet production business.
Grange holds long term supply contracts for one million tonnes of its annual production and offers the balance of its production to market via a spot sales tendering/contracting process.

The Savage River worksite is only an hour and half drive away from the vibrant coastal towns of north-west Tasmania, which offers a fantastic regional lifestyle and is only an hour's flight from Melbourne with regular services from airports at Burnie, Devonport and Launceston.
