Buying Assistant - Seasonal (12 Month FTC) Apply now Job no: 499457 Work type: Fixed term full time Location: Victoria Categories: Buying As we continue our journey in helping all Australians, we have a position for a Buying Assistant to join our Merchandise Team in our Seasonal team for a 12 Month Fixed-Term period.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing operational support to the Buyer with a focus on administrative tasks, raising orders and managing samples.
You will be highly organised and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
This is a hybrid role working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in our Support Office and the rest of the week from home.
Key Responsibilities: Write purchase orders and manage the purchase order process with vendors, including follow-ups.
Article creations and ensuring SAP reflects accurate article details.
Ensure all mark ups and markdown management is completed and ensure SAP reflects correct pricing.
Ensure relevant administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Use merchandise reports to provide ongoing analysis and interpretation of key business issues.
Sample Management and promotional activity administration.
Maintain communication with vendors and internal teams to ensure on-time shipments.
Maintain external relationships with all suppliers and overseas buying agents.
The preferred candidate will have the following experience and attributes: 1 – 2 years' experience in a Retail background working in a support office environment and/or store environment.
Demonstrated experience in using MS Office suite; intermediate Excel skills, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical skills to create data-driven decisions.
Ability to communicate well and build relationships with relevant stakeholders.
