House and Garden – Kensington and Norwood SA A permanent part time entry level opportunity has become available in our buying team. Our ideal candidates will be focused and self-motivated team players who take a hands-on approach. They will have a bias for action and get things done! House & Garden is a highly regarded retail business with several stores across Adelaide. Based at its head office in Norwood, the business has built a reputation as an outstanding homewares retailer with a focus on design, colour, texture, and style. The business owners have plans to expand in Online markets with several exciting brand and product offers. The company is focused on the continued development of both the business and the wonderful team of people who drive and manage it. We are a family business and operate within an agreed set of values and behaviours based on creating the H&G customer experience. Key Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Directors, you will play a support role in the buying function and assist the Directors with the day-to-day tasks required to run the business. More specifically, the role is responsible for the following activities: Buying Support Undertake weekly replenishment with local suppliers. Assist the Directors with the International buying program. Sit in on buying meetings, take notes and follow through on action items. Undertake data analysis on sales and margins. Assist the warehouse with inventory control & reporting. Respond to store team member queries. Assist in raising orders and daily communication with overseas suppliers. Organising the importation of products including all documentation. Personal Assistant Assist with day-to-day activities. Meet every morning to prioritise the day. Keep a tight focus on the action list. Provide updates on timelines and key dates. Book interstate and international travel. Skills and Experience Microsoft Excel , Word & Outlook. Accurate data entry skills with meticulous attention to detail. Well-developed computer skills and knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team. Well-developed time management skills. Key Attributes This part time entry level role will suit a buying assistant or personal assistant seeking increased responsibility looking for 3 to 4 days per week.
