About the role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Buying Assistant.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive admin support to the buyer, focusing on various aspects including product management, pricing, purchase order placement, content management, ETA tracking, promotion management, and overall assistance to the buyer.
An interest in photography is preferred, as well as proficiency in Excel and a solid understanding of commercial operations.
Responsibilities: Product Management: Assist in researching and selecting products for purchase based on market trends, customer demand, and company objectives.
Pricing: Monitor pricing trends and assist in negotiating favourable terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing for our products.
Purchase Orders Placement: Process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with inventory levels and sales forecasts.
Content Management - Web: Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure accurate and up-to-date product information is displayed on our website.
ETA Tracking: Monitor shipment schedules and communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
Promotion Management - Back-end: Support the management of promotional activities, including analysing the effectiveness of promotions and recommending improvements.
Fully Supporting the Buyer: Provide administrative and logistical support to the buyer as needed, including organising meetings, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
About you: Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously review and analyse data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Interest in Photography: Preferred interest or background in photography to better understand our product offerings.
Good Excel Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and inventory management.
Solid Commercial Acumen: Understanding of business principles and the ability to make sound decisions that align with company goals.
Comfort with Numbers: Strong numerical skills and the ability to analyse financial data and trends.
Autonomy: Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
Office-Based: Position is based in our office location with occasional travel as required.
