That's Target.What will you do?We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Buyer – Womens Sleep, Socks & Hosiery to join our apparel team. As the Buyer, you will be responsible for building and trading a department range/business group that delivers the strategy, vision and financial KPI's. Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to build assortment plans to drive sales and profitability, in line with Target's values.Reporting to the Business Manager, this role is responsible for building and trading Women's Sleep, Socks & Hosiery ranges that deliver the strategy, vision and financial KPI's, and working collaboratively with key stakeholders to build assortment plans to drive sales and profitability, in line with Target's values.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Building RangeExecute end-to-end critical path to ensure launch dates are met.Translate customer insights and market trends into architecture and option plans.Establish a clear pricing architecture. Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to establish the appropriate balance of fashion, quality and style to drive transaction growth within agreed option plans.Work collaboratively with the Planner to ensure option framework achieves financial KPI's, brief design team on option framework.TradeIdentify opportunities and implement actions derived through trade analysis.Leverage customer insights and data to optimize sales.Demonstrate Target's vision, strategy and values within the team and across the wider organization.What are we looking for?The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business or Retail with at least 4 years' experience in Buying / Design / Product Development in a specialty retail environment. Demonstrated ability to lead a supplier and sourcing strategy is essential, as is experience in implementing merchandise strategy and trading business within season along with a solid understanding of the total retail landscape and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
