ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced and driven Space Category Buyer to lead our vision within our Typo team.
You will be responsible for leading the development of Home and Lifestyle products within the Space category, focusing on hardgoods such as dining essentials (crockery, drinkware, kitchenware) on-the-go eating and drinking solutions (coffee cups, drink bottles, lunch boxes) and fun and games (board games, fidget toys, and creative twists on traditional games).
Collaborating with Creative Leadership and fellow Buyers, you will deliver cohesive product ranges that align with our Brand DNA and resonate with our customers.
This role requires expertise in hardgoods production, ensuring designs translate effectively into high-quality, functional 3D products.
You will approach product development with a problem-solving mindset, identifying customer needs and addressing them through innovative and thoughtful design solutions.
You will bring a customer-first approach, ensuring products meet critical path milestones, comply with all quality and safety standards, and achieve set financial objectives.
Your role involves constant trend and market research, identifying whitespace opportunities, and collaborating with suppliers to deliver ethical, sustainable, and forward-thinking products.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., Buying, Design, or Product Development) • Demonstrated experience in building creative product strategies, sourcing, and category leadership • Expertise in hardgoods production, including translating 2D designs into functional 3D products • Ability to identify and solve customer problems through innovative design • Proficiency with design tools like Illustrator and Excel • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills • Leadership experience within a significant multi-brand global retailer • Ability to drive commercial outcomes through trend analysis, market research, and whitespace identification • Passion for customer-centric, ethical, and sustainable product development OUR CULTURE Team Typo is a creative bunch of stationery addicts!
