As such, a newly created role is now on offer, an opportunity to be part of this humble and authentic culture.Snapshot of Responsibilities:Identify product opportunities and analyse the market to identify gaps across Children's soft and hardgoods markets.You will source, develop and create new products for those gaps, with support from the design and broader team.At all points you will drive commercial and creative outcomes for your product portfolio.With excellent communication skills you will define briefs to your overseas suppliers to ensure success in the development and delivery of your portfolio all the while focusing on the needs of your key retail customers.You will need:Proven experience as a buyer in either a retail or wholesale environment working within children's soft or hardgoods, unfortunately FMCG won't be right for this role.A strong commercial focus with excellent numerical ability and analytical skills where you identify category opportunities.You are currently a Buyer/Developer with Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and have a real interest in Kids Product and Textiles.With a great 'eye' and aesthetic, you know colour and can instinctively use this and you innately know consumer behaviour and can identify on-trend product opportunities that will have a commercial return on investment.You have solid supplier relationships both locally and offshore.You are a team player, this business is all about the team and being supportive, this comes from the top down!Residency Note: To be eligible to apply for this role, you must be an Australian or NZ citizen or have an appropriate visa to live and work in Australia and currently be residing here.
