Why join our team? This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement professional and authentic business partner to join the team at our Chiswick Park head office in a highly visible strategic role with company-wide responsibilities! The role will challenge you to understand the pladis global strategy and the region's business goals and objectives and how this impacts procurement and builds into category strategies! As a leader in the Procurement organisation, you will act a role model of procurement best practice and deliver high quality strategic solutions to meet the needs of the organisation. 
What will this role achieve?  As Regional Buyer UKI & Europe, you will be focussed on delivering world class results and a competitive advantage to pladis. You will contribute to the development of the Regional category strategy, whilst leading the sourcing cycle and bringing in breakthrough ideas through outstanding approaches. 
What will be your key deliverables?  As part of the UKI & Europe team, reporting directly to the Head of Indirect Procurement, you will:
Deliver cost reduction projects across regional spends and drive value improvement initiatives throughout the category
Engage proactively with team members to understand current and future requirements and align on a unified approach 
Build and execute regional category strategies to deliver cost reduction, supply continuity, innovation sustainability benefits
Provide information and impact assessments for Global Procurement teams to support Global procurement strategies and plans and execute them for the region
Act in accordance with and bring to life the One Procurement Community (OPC) to enable pladis Journey to Procurement Excellence (JPE)
Undertake broad procurement responsibilities across category strategy and supply chain.
What do you need for this role?  Graduate qualification or confirmed procurement experience 
Previous experience within Indirect Procurement 
Excellent knowledge of sourcing practices and ability to lead end to end sourcing process
Excellent collaboration, communication and influencing skills with a confident demeanour
Positive demeanour and ability to make things happen to deliver outstanding results
Proficient project and organisational change capabilities 
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Experience in Professional Services, HR, Travel or IT categories
Experience with SAP
