Your new companyAn ambitious SME sized manufacturing organisation based near to Tamworth. They have an employee-focused culture and are committed to development. Due to continued business growth, they are now looking to recruit an additional Buyer to join the team. The role is office based, but the organisation offers a four-day working week (Monday to Thursday). It is a full-time role with hours compressed into four days.Your new roleThe Buyer will be responsible for buying goods and materials at the best cost whilst ensuring quality standards are maintained and reliability of delivery. The Buyer will raise purchase orders via the MRP system, source for new products, support NPI, and resolve supply chain problems. Additionally, the role will work closely with the engineering teams to maximise stock optimisation levels, assist projects and support continuous improvement.What you'll need to succeedYou will be a Buyer with a background from a manufacturing, engineering or automotive environment. You will have strong experience of managing MRP systems, sourcing and liaising with suppliers at all stages of the procurement cycle. It would also suit candidates seeking increased work-life balance due to the four-day working week.What you'll get in returnYou will receive a salary of £35,000 to £36,000 plus bonus. The role is a four-day working week (Monday to Thursday 7am to 5pm).
