The role As a Buyer, you'll be responsible for ensuring ingredient availability for all products in your assigned Category, across all our Australian Distribution Centers, in the most optimum supply chain setup i.e. in a timely and efficient manner, while also minimising costs and mitigating risk. This role requires a high level of collaboration with multiple stakeholders, from our Suppliers, to our Strategic Procurement, Production, Menu Planning, Warehouse and Logistics teams.
We are looking for a very structured and driven individual willing to take on the challenge of continuously designing and improving end-to-end buying processes & tools to respond to the ever changing needs of the business.

What you'll do Own Supply Planning for your category, including planning meetings with suppliers, SOH management and PO placement Identify opportunities for improvement in on time delivery, quality, or communication as needed Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and first point of contact for operational issues relating to products or suppliers in your Category Regularly visit the production site and consistently communicate with our production teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives Analyze purchasing data to ensure accuracy of information, purchasing procedures and identify any discrepancies, etc Assemble and report on data relating to supplier performance, identifying improvement initiatives for your category Assist wider category team with cost reporting and invoice validation What you'll bring Ideally, some experience in procurement, operations or supply chain working in a comparable role An organised approach to work and have the ability to think on your feet Strong verbal and written communication skills Good analytical skills, strong command of Excel/Google Sheets is a must A "whatever it takes" mentality that drives you to find solutions quickly and whenever needed Passion for food! Proactive, confident in manner and are able to deal with a large and complex network of suppliers delivering a large quantity and variety of perishable ingredients.
