Future Generation Joint Venture (FGJV) is the principal contractor for Snowy Hydro's Snowy 2.0, Australia's largest committed renewable energy project.
We bring the combined engineering expertise of three companies - Italy's Webuild (formerly Salini Impregilo), Australian-based Clough, and US-based Lane Construction.

Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history.
It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.

Purpose of the Role:
To conduct market surveys, compare the technical and economical assets to deal with the applicants and suppliers in order to find the best technical and economical proposal related to purchasing.
The resource will discuss with their Manager beforehand to issue any orders and will send orders to the suppliers.

Qualifications:
White Card Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role - preferred Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects Experience in Microsoft Office suite Sound knowledge of construction materials and strong experience within the heavy construction industry Sound understanding of local and international import/export legislation or requirements Language: fluent English mandatory; an additional language constitutes an advantage A strong commitment to a team-based environment Strong problem-solving ability Well-developed time management skills Solid technical writing and communication skills Good understanding of financial accounting concepts Ability to work to deadlines and targets, whilst also being able to prioritise Exceptional attention to detail Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Supporting the Material & Equipment Manager to define the strategy.
Defining the Vendor List, preparing the request for proposal to send to suppliers, and managing commercial and contractual negotiation activities with the identified Vendors to pursue savings, synergy, qualitative excellence, and lead time optimization.
Performing cost analysis, comparison, and assessment of offers, ensuring they are technically checked by requesting Corporate Departments/Operational Units, and preparing summary tables of the final offers and recommendations in accordance with procedures.
Operating in full compliance with the Project procedures.
Managing supplier relations in compliance with the Company's Code of Ethics, its Organization, Management and Control Model, and its Anti-Corruption Model.
Ensuring the successful delivery of the Project within the required constraints for time, cost, quality, safety, environment, and the community.
Conducting market surveys, comparing the technical and economical assets, and dealing with the applicants and suppliers to find the best technical and economical proposal for purchasing.
Reviewing planned expenditure against budget and obtaining approval for all procurements.
Building and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers.
Managing relationships and conditions with suppliers.
Working with Department Heads to identify timelines required in the procurement of goods and services.
Expediting deliveries with suppliers as required.
Ensuring deliverables are achieved in line with Project deadlines.
