Role: Marine Technical Buyer / Purchaser (In house trading)
Eligibility: For Singaporeans and PR only.
Job Description: Managing the purchase support to vessel (in house) operation, purchasing of stores deck, machinery, electrical, hardware, etc.Responsible for the analysis of purchase orders/requests, price quotes and delivery deadlines surveys, vendor negotiation, analysis and approval of budgets, preparation, and placement of purchase orders and/or contracts.Investigate sources of supply and terms and conditions.
Negotiate term contracts/credit terms with suppliers.
Approve and/or recommend the most suitable suppliers to meet company needs.Coordinate and communicate with the supplier, Ship agents, logistic team and the requestor for timely delivery.Requirements: Diploma related to Supply Chain/Engineering or relevant.1-2 years of experience in purchasing in the marine sector (in stores will be preferred).Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
A high level of competence in Excel will be favoured.Good interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to work independently.Good communication skills in English (both verbal & written).1-2 years of experience working as a provision buyer/purchaser in the marine sector for ship chandlers/trading companies.If interested, please share your CV to .
