The Opportunity
Our client is delivering the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) package for the upgrade of a significant sustainable infrastructure project for the Perth community. An opportunity has arisen for Buyer to join the Project team on an initial 3 month contract role with possibility of permanency once the project enters the next stage. This position is based in the Perth CBD Head Office and will be reporting to the Deputy Supply Chain Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Obtaining quotes and information from suppliers for purchase. Procuring temporary and minor materials procurement system. Creating and maintaining purchase orders procurement systems. Pre-Qualification and management of Suppliers in procurement system. Managing complex purchasing for multi-scope, multidiscipline project. Expediting signed Purchase Orders acknowledgements from Suppliers / Sub-contractors. Managing receipts for all local office deliveries / services in procurement system Managing the Purchase Order and Material Requisition Register. Managing Supplier Invoices and close out of Purchase Orders. Assisting with data entry into system and reporting for consumables, materials, tools, and assets. Interface with delivery and construction team on consumable and materials to purchase to support project work. Obtaining quotes and information from suppliers for purchase. About You Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Buyer / Procurement / Category Management role in a project / company of the similar size and complexity. Previous experience working with different stakeholder groups within project environment. Understanding of commercial terms and conditions. Tertiary qualifications in supply chain, procurement (or related fields) will be beneficial to this role.
