Job PurposeBased at Tananger base, the Buyer will manage all inventory & non-inventory purchasing for the assigned commodity/service for the SI organization within North Sea region and will also be part of the wider SI Purchasing Network for Service and Aftermarket.Key responsibilitiesManagement of Purchase Orders Review Purchase Requisitions and place Purchase Orders, ensuring compliance with regional and global processes Ensure clear communication with requestors to ensure correct requirements and manage deadlines Manage Purchase Price Variance through negotiation, supplier agreements, review of historical purchases Manage open PO's through to completion and communicate status with requisitioners Resolve supplier payment issues in collaboration with Finance Dept Management of Suppliers Establishing and managing supplier contracts, in collaboration with regional / global Category Managers Conducting local supplier market studies to identify strategic opportunities to reduce costs or lead-times Reduce prices through negotiation with suppliers and by working closely with the global supply chain organization Take ownership of Supplier Quality and OTD performance and work with suppliers on improvement plans Manage the supplier qualification process in collaboration with QHSES Processes Understanding and applying regional & global procurement processes and standards Understanding the service and Maintenance Modification and Repair (MMR) activities of a Service Base Follow procedures for QHSES, participating in improvement initiatives Propose alternative approaches where value can be added Key competencies A consumer focused, proactive and innovative mindset Cooperative and service minded Ability to understand and communicate within diverse cultural environments Desired qualifications Proficient in use of ERP system (preferably SAP) Must demonstrate negotiation, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills in order to interact with co-workers and suppliers in a team-oriented environment Experience in a procurement role in a manufacturing or aftermarket environment Knowledge of Energy Sector suppliers is preferred Possess or working towards Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPs) or other purchasing qualification English language (good written and verbal communications), Norwegian language preferred Your future in TechnipFMC Your journey starts with our onboarding program As an international company, we provide you with great opportunities for internal growth You will have the opportunity to attend development activities We offer benefits, programs and the possibility to work partially from home to support your Work-Life Balance We have benefits like company cabins, in-house gym, and sports teams You will be secured by good insurance and retirements plans Practicalities: Application date: 22.04.2024, candidates will be evaluated on a continuing basis Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Norway, without sponsorship Place of work: Tananger Being a global leader in the energy industry requires an inclusive and diverse environment.
