As one of the largest performance door-set manufacturers and architectural hardware suppliers in the UK, we provide bespoke Door Suites made onsite in our factory located in Deeside, North Wales.
Due to ongoing success and growth, we're looking for a Buyer to drive our existing procurement strategies and ensure the seamless supply of materials critical to our production processes.
As Buyer you'll play a key role in maintaining an uninterrupted flow of goods into our manufacturing facility, ensuring operational efficiency and meeting customer demands.
Balancing price, quality, and delivery, you'll secure supplies that drive our business forward.
This role would be ideal for experienced Buyers / Purchasers who possess a keen eye for detail, previous experience in procurement within a manufacturing setting, and adept in navigating complex supply chains.
Please note some travel across our 3 other UK sites may be required periodically in this role.
ResponsibilitiesResearch, identify and onboard reliable suppliers for materials, services and componentsNegotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure cost-effective dealsEvaluate supplier performance to ensure timely delivery, quality, and compliance with standardsPlace orders in a timely manner to meet production deadlinesAnalyse market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunitiesEnsure that purchased materials and components meet quality specifications and industry standardsVisit supplier facilities when needed to assess their quality control practicesBuild and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster long-term partnershipsResolve disputes or issues with suppliers, including late deliveries or quality problemsWork closely with other internal departments to align procurement activities with financial, commercial and operational needsIdentify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, supplier dependencies and single points of failureQualifications/ExperienceProven experience as a Buyer or similar role within a manufacturing settingStrong knowledge of procurement and supply chain management principlesProficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office SuiteCIPS/Prince2 qualified preferred but not essentialExceptional negotiation and contract management skillsExcellent communication skills at all levels with both internal and external stakeholdersWhat we offer in return:Free Onsite ParkingWelcoming and positive working environmentCompany performance bonusOnsite canteen #J-18808-Ljbffr
