Job Description The Buyer role requires excellent stakeholder management skills, clear communication, and an ability to prioritise time sensitive tasks.
Responsibilities include: Lead the creation of seasonal range plans and product selection/sourcing strategies for various categories, focusing on both private label and established brands.Develop and oversee range selections across categories, utilising trend analysis and customer demand insights to implement pricing strategies that foster category growth.Leverage data and insights to shape sourcing, purchasing, and import strategies.Negotiate pricing, volume, and terms with international suppliers.Manage and analyse reporting and financial plans to meet targets for margin and profit.Identify and implement profitable promotional strategies for the business.Oversee inventory management, aged stock, and performance metrics.Track global and local trends, along with competitor activities.Foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The Successful Applicant The successful candidate for the Buyer role will ideally have the following key skills & qualities: Buying experience, ideally finished goods within a retail environmentFar-East sourcing experienceExperience with NetSuite or similar, desirableEntrepreneurial mindset that seeks out opportunitiesExcellent attention to detail and communicationTrend savvy - you know what our customers want!
