These products will be sourced both locally and from overseas suppliers.
We are building the best range of Beauty and Homewares products in Australia and looking for an experienced buyer to join our team to help us on this exciting mission.
What you'll do Source and secure products: Execute buying opportunities for leading local and international brands, private label products, and direct-from-factory sourcing.Drive strategic category growth: Manage and grow key product categories based on market trends and analysis.Leverage data for informed decisions: Analyse data to make strategic import decisions and identify growth opportunities.Maintain market awareness: Conduct competitor research and stay informed about market trends to understand customer preferences.Collaborate across departments: Work closely with Marketing, Finance, Operations, and other relevant teams to ensure seamless product flow and execution.Optimise product presentation and performance: Manage product range, pricing strategies, stock levels, and online visibility to maximise sales and customer satisfaction.What you'll bring 2+ years of experience in a homeware buying role, with a strong track record of sourcing and negotiating competitive deals.Highly analytical with strong data analysis skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and analytical tools like Google Analytics.Experience across multiple homeware sub-categories, possessing an established network of supplier contacts.Able to multitask, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Passionate about buying and sourcing, with a strong understanding of compliance considerations and a commitment to delivering market-leading deals.What you'll experience Work in a dynamic and inclusive start-up culture with passionate people.Health & wellbeing program and 12-weeks paid parental leave policyExcellent equipment provided including sit/stand desks, powerful laptop and dual 4K monitors with full motion stands all located on the incredible Collins street.Endless possibilities with Woolworths Group We're a proud part of the Woolworths Group – 200,000+ bright minds, passionate hearts and unique perspectives working together connected by a shared Purpose – 'to create better experiences together for a better tomorrow.'
