At Souter Search, we are recruiting for multiple Buyer and Senior Buyers for a leading Australian retailer.Due to their continued growth, our client is seeking experienced and results-driven buyers who are passionate about fashion.
You will be a critical part of the Buying team and thrive working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and supportive environment.Your responsibilities will include:Managing various aspects of buying through the knowledge of key seasonal trends, product sell-through, and customer feedback from retail stores.OTB management at a topline and category level.Lead in building commercial ranges, ensuring the customer is top of mind.Purchase merchandise with the goal of achieving sales targets, meeting gross profit objectives, and identifying opportunities for growth.Conducting research into market trends and competitors.Ensuring product ranges align with business and customer needs.Collaborating with the Planning team to track stock movements and identify markdown opportunities.Creating and executing strategies for pricing, marketing, promotions, and product displays.Performing in-season and post-season analysis to optimize strategies.About YouPrevious experience as a Buyer/Senior Buyer ideally within the fashion industry.Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment within a high-volume retail setting.Excellent analytical skills and strong business acumen.Highly motivated to meet sell-through KPIs and sales targets.Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills.Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.In-depth knowledge of both local and international consumer trends.Proven direct sourcing experience.Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.Demonstrated understanding of financial management including assortment planning and OTB management.Are you interested in hearing more?Souter Search is here to provide you with the support you need to develop a fulfilling career.
